For over a decade in Seoul and across Asia, I tasted incredible flavours while craving the Western comfort foods I missed. That feeling led me and my friends to start a vegan ghost kitchen. In doing so, we tried every non-dairy cheese on the market. But putting vegan cheese against real dairy cheese, real cheese won every time. Rather than attempting to replicate the many qualities of cheese, we created something new: a non-dairy cheese sauce.
The turning point came when I started serving vegan nachos at Cakeshop, a nightclub I co-own in Seoul. What began as a late-night snack quickly became a main attraction; people were coming specifically for the nachos! That’s when we knew, we had something special. This sauce wasn't just "good for being vegan." It was just good, period.
In 2018, I returned to Canada and launched Noochies™ with the help of friends and family. Since then, we've refined the recipe and raised the standard of production. Noochies isn't trying to be cheese. It's better — born in Seoul, perfected at home, and ready to share with you.
